LET ME TELL YOU A

story

THESE SOUVENIR ALBUMS

I still remember those childhood moments, flipping through the pages of those photo albums my father used to accumulate in the living room cupboard. It was packed to capacity. Remember those photo albums with the sticky pages?

My father was the family's resident photographer, and he took particular joy in collecting his most beautiful photographs in souvenir albums. He even had a darkroom in the basement of the house.

I lost my father at the age of 21 to cancer. He was only 48. I had just moved to Montreal to pursue my studies in graphic design. My father's death marked a decisive turning point in my life as a young adult.

A PRICELESS TREASURE

To this day, I realize that the photos I have of my dad are a priceless treasure. They are much more than just images printed on paper. They represent fragments of shared moments, frozen laughter and shared glances that transcend tangible reality to transport us into the world of memories.

Over time, memories tend to fade, and sometimes some of them do. However, the memory of my father, even 23 years later, is preserved in the images that adorn the walls of my home.

MY FATHER'S FOOTSTEPS

At the age of 21, I deliberately chose to pay tribute to my father's life. He was much more than an idol, he was my role model. Wanting to follow in his footsteps and perpetuate his passion for photography, I decided to make this path my own. Today, I'm convinced that he would be proud of the person I've become.

Photographs are a treasure trove

Photographs are emotionally rich. They immortalize simple, precious moments and create visual memories that become timeless treasures. In every click of the shutter lies the promise of preserving not just a specific moment, but emotions, stories and connections that transcend the passage of time.
